Two Family Dollar Stores

Key Features: Work included new foundations, pre-fabricated metal building and related site work and utilities. Trash fill, including broken concrete and asphalt, were discovered during excavation of one structure. We were able to mitigate the situation by timely and accurate decision making so to keep the project on schedule. That building shows no sign of settlement after over 3 years.

Both projects required focused attention to detail. Family Dollar Stores protocol calls for many components of the work to be OWNER-SUPPLIED / CONTRACTOR-INSTALLED items. SCS successfully managed procurement and installation of all owner-provided items, including door and door frames, storefront systems, metal building and millwork.

Challenges: Customer needed both freestanding buildings constructed within 90 days to meet desired opening dates. Both projects were completed within the 90-day schedule.
